The practical version
Signs make up most of our store catalogue. We laser-engrave solid pine, cut raised and layered lettering, build framed signs and mount acrylic house numbers on live-edge wood — to your wording, size and stain, in English or French. You approve a proof before anything is cut.

What to know before you order
Sign styles we make
Engraved plaques are solid pine, about 3/4" thick, laser-engraved and sealed, with two D-ring hangers on the back so they arrive ready to hang. They carry family names and established dates, favourite sayings, business and workshop names, and wedding or nursery wording.
Framed signs pair a stained pine frame with a plywood background. Layered signs add raised, cut-out lettering or a carved relief, so the letters cast a real shadow on the wall. Live-edge house number signs combine wood with its natural edge and raised black acrylic numbers.
Our made-to-order sign offers six edge styles: square corners, rounded corners, rounded plank, live edge, framed and rustic carved edge. On that sign the live-edge and rustic carved-edge styles are a routed edge that gives a natural-wood look; the live-edge house number sign is the one made from wood with its real natural edge.
Sizes, stains and wording
The standard sizes run from 18 × 6 in to 35 × 10 in, horizontal or vertical: 18 × 6, 24 × 8, 30 × 8 and 35 × 10. Other sizes are made on request.
Stains: Natural, Provincial, Classic Grey, Golden Pecan, Linen White, Ebony, Weathered Grey, Worn Navy, Dark Walnut and Red Oak. A framed sign takes one stain for the frame and one for the background.
Wording is made exactly as you send it, so check names, dates and spelling before you approve the proof. We make signs in English and in French — from “Welcome Bienvenue” to “On a dit oui, le gâteau est témoin” — and if you have a particular font in mind, send its name.
Indoor or outdoor
Indoor signs are not weatherproofed. Signs ordered for outdoor use are sealed and protected for outside. Framed signs are built for indoors, and live-edge house number signs are for indoor or covered outdoor spots such as a porch or an entryway.
From your idea to your wall
Describe the sign: the wording, size, style, stains and where it will hang. We design it and send you a proof, and nothing is built until you approve it. Our made-to-order signs are made and shipped in about 5–7 business days after approval.
Custom orders are paid in full before production and are final once the proof is approved, so take the time to check it. Pickup is at our Dieppe workshop by appointment, a few minutes from Moncton, and we ship across Canada, the USA and worldwide.
What to send
Accepted formats: .jpg, .png, .webp, .pdf
- The exact wording, line by line, with names and dates spelled the way they should appear.
- The size and orientation (horizontal or vertical), the edge style and your stain colours.
- A logo or a reference image if you have one — a photo or a PDF is fine.
- Where the sign will hang: indoors, outdoors or on a covered porch.
When this may not be the right fit
- Metal signs and vinyl lettering are outside what we make.
- A framed sign is the wrong choice for full outdoor exposure; order an outdoor-sealed style instead.

Can a wood sign go outside?

Yes. We send a proof for approval and do not start building until you approve it. Check spelling, names and dates carefully: the sign is made exactly as approved.
How long does a custom sign take?
Our made-to-order signs are made and shipped in about 5–7 business days once you approve the proof. Larger or more involved signs get their own timeline with the quote.
Can you make a sign in French?
Yes. Several of our signs are in French or bilingual, and your own wording is made exactly as you send it, accents included.
Where are you, and can I pick up my sign?
Our workshop is in Dieppe, a few minutes from Moncton, and serves Greater Moncton. Pickup is by appointment, and we also ship across Canada, the USA and worldwide.
