The practical version
We cut and engrave wood, acrylic, slate, and leather for personal pieces, signage, and repeatable branded runs. We can also mark painted or powder-coated tumblers by removing the finish to reveal the metal beneath. That is different from engraving the bare metal itself, which we do not currently offer.

What to know before you order
What the laser works on
Wood is the everyday material: engraved solid pine signs, laser-personalized maple keepsakes, and laser-cut maple assembled into a lamp. We engrave slate for coasters — our set is four 4 × 4 in coasters — and we also cut and engrave acrylic and leather.
Painted or powder-coated tumblers, including many coated YETI models, can be marked by removing the coating to reveal the metal beneath. That is finish removal, not metal engraving: we do not engrave bare metal.
Engraving, cutting, and when the CNC is better
Laser engraving marks the surface, which suits names, small text, logos and fine linework. When the lettering needs to stand proud of the surface, or the design needs a carved relief with real depth, the CNC router is the better tool.
Many pieces use both. One of our layered signs combines laser-cut lettering with a routed backer board, so the words cast a shadow instead of lying flat.
One-offs and production runs
A single personalized gift and a production run go through the same steps. The layout is proofed and approved first, personalized text is checked against your exact spelling, and in a run every piece is checked for consistent engraving depth before it ships.
Small to medium runs are part of the work: branded pieces, coasters, plaques and signs for shops, events and businesses.
What to send
Accepted formats: .png, .jpg, .webp, .pdf, .dxf
- Type the text you want engraved, or attach your logo.
- Logos and artwork can be sent as PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF or DXF files — up to five files, 10 MB each.
- Tell us the material, the size of each piece and how many you need.
- For a tumbler, confirm that it is painted or powder-coated: bare stainless steel is not something we engrave.
When this may not be the right fit
- We do not currently cut, weld, fabricate, or engrave bare metal.
- Coated tumblers are different: the laser removes paint or powder coating to reveal the metal underneath; it does not engrave the bare metal.
- Lettering that stands off the surface, or a carved relief with real depth, is a job for the CNC router rather than the laser.
Common questions
Can you engrave my YETI or another tumbler?
If it is painted or powder-coated, usually yes: the laser removes the coating to reveal the metal beneath, and that works on many coated YETI models. We do not engrave bare or stainless metal.
Can you engrave our logo?
Yes. Custom logos, branding and personalized products are part of our laser work. Attach the logo to the quote form as a PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF or DXF file.
Do you engrave one piece, or only bulk orders?
Both. We engrave one-off personalized pieces as well as small to medium production runs.
Will I see a proof before you engrave?
Yes. You approve a proof before anything is cut or engraved, and personalized text is made exactly as approved, so check the spelling.
How long does laser engraving take?
Small engraved pieces move quickly. You get a timeline with the quote, and production starts once the proof is approved and the order is paid.
Where can I get bare metal engraved?
We do not engrave bare metal. Atlantic Awards & Prestige Engraving in Moncton is listed as a general engraver and may be able to help; please confirm the material and the job with them directly.
