What to know before you order
Electronics we have built
The clearest example is our own: a wireless Bluetooth jog pendant for CNC and laser machines. We designed the enclosure, the circuit board layout and the firmware, and it works with GRBL, LightBurn and Carbide Motion through an app on iPhone or Android. It became its own product line under the AxisForge name.
Smaller builds include a plug-and-play USB jog controller for Shapeoko and Nomad machines running Carbide Motion, and a colour-changing LED lamp in laser-cut maple with acrylic panels and USB power.
The whole build in one shop
Because the shop also prints, cuts and engraves, the enclosure is made alongside the electronics: the jog pendant has a 3D-printed enclosure, and the lamp a laser-cut maple case. One shop handles the circuit, the housing and the finish.
Starting a project
Describe what the device should do rather than how it should work. Tell us the power source — USB, battery or wall power — whether it needs an enclosure, and how many you need. We take it from concept to a working, testable build, for home or business use.
What to send
Accepted formats: .pdf, .png, .jpg, .step, .stl
- A short description of what the device should do.
- The power source, whether it needs an enclosure, and the quantity.
- Sketches, photos or existing drawings, if you have them.
Common questions
What do you need from me to quote an electronics project?
What the device should do, how it will be powered (USB, battery or wall power), whether it needs an enclosure, and how many you need. Sketches or photos help.
Can you make the enclosure too?
Yes. Enclosures can be 3D-printed, laser-cut or built in wood in the same shop, as with our jog pendant and our maple LED lamp.
Do you build one-off prototypes?
Yes. We take a device from concept to a working, testable build, for residential or commercial use.
Have you built hardware that other people use?
Yes. Our wireless CNC and laser jog pendant is sold as the AxisForge product line, with companion apps on Google Play and the App Store.
Start with the result, not the process.
Send whatever you have—a sketch, dimensions, reference photo or a simple description.
